Today, Vantage is announcing Vantage for MSPs, a set of administrative capabilities for MSPs to provision and centrally manage Vantage accounts for their end customers. These features enable MSPs and Resellers to deliver Vantage, a modern cloud financial management tool, to their next generation of customers in a customized manner.
MSPs use Vantage as a FinOps solution that enables their end clients to understand their infrastructure spend, track these costs over time, and understand the value their MSP is creating on their behalf. However, MSPs needed specific Vantage features to allow them to observe spend, optimizations, and changes across their account portfolio. Before this release, an MSP that used Vantage was required to individually create separate logins for each of their clients. These separate logins all required separate credentials, and if they needed to make changes in a specific account, they would need to log out and log back into the necessary account. It was also not possible to view all the Vantage accounts that had been registered in a single place.
Vantage for MSPs is available to all Vantage partners. If you are interested in this functionality, please reach out to partnerships@vantage.sh or head to the Partners page to request a partner-specific demo of Vantage.
1. What is Vantage announcing today?
Vantage for MSPs is a set of features that allows MSPs and Resellers to manage their customers’ Vantage accounts from a single management portal. These management capabilities include providing administrative access to managed accounts and custom billing features.
2. Who is Vantage for MSPs for?
Vantage for MSPs is available to any MSP or Reseller who wants to provide cost observability and optimization to their customers through the Vantage platform.
3. What is an MSP or Reseller?
An MSP, or Managed Service Provider, is a company that provides IT services—like network, server, and security management—directly to businesses. These services are typically provided on a subscription basis. This type of program allows businesses to focus on their core operations, while the MSP handles their technology needs.
4. How do I get started?
Vantage for MSP accounts aren’t available through traditional self-service flows, and you’ll need to be in contact with our team to ensure your partner-specific account is provisioned.
5. I’m a current customer of CloudHealth, CloudCheckr, or other MSP-specific products. Will Vantage help me migrate from one of these tools?
Yes. Vantage will provide a dedicated team for you to transition off of any other legacy provider, free of charge.
Users can now programmatically create reports to analyze the source and destination of network traffic that contributes to cloud costs with Network Flow Reports, as well as generate a unified view of all AWS financial commitments with Financial Commitment Reports.
